In Season for September

Summer officially extends well into the month of September, however, as soon as September rolls around, we begin the transition from summer to fall. The long, warm evenings spent grilling on the patio are numbered, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy many favorite summer foods - and to look forward to fall favorites as well.

Holidays

Back to School

Make lunchtime fun and healthy with plenty of kid friendly fruits and veggies. Get creative with new ways to incorporate fresh produce into lunches. Try a peanut butter sandwich with ultra thin slices of fresh, crisp apples, or a pita pocket stuffed with cream cheese and fresh veggies. Items like carrots, celery, or apples with a healthy homemade dip are always a hit!

First Day of Fall

September 23 marks the official beginning of fall. Celebrate with a homey meal that incorporates the earthy flavors of the upcoming season. Remember that crisp, early fall evenings are a lovely time to enjoy dinner on the patio!

Labor Day

As we approach the end of summer, take advantage of the long weekend and the beautiful weather by breaking out the grill and cooking up a Labor Day feast for your friends and family.
